Cases Create a Safer World

JOEL: This is Joel Block for The Law and You with Eugene attorney Don Corson. Don, you’ve seen a lot of lawsuits that make the world safer for everyone, correct?

DON: I certainly have. Think about all the things people do every day, like using ATMs, staying in motels, putting babies in cribs, or driving cars. These are just a few things we now do more safely because people who were injured stood up to prevent others from being hurt. Lights are now on at ATMs to discourage crime. Good motels now have secure key cards. Dangerous crib designs are now off the market. Manufacturers were forced to make cars safer. All those lawsuits were once controversial. Our law firm and many others work to not only help our clients, but to get companies to follow basic safety rules. Next time you hear about a controversial lawsuit, take a closer look. It might be making our community safer.

JOEL: Thanks, Don. Learn more about cases that have helped us all be safer by visiting CorsonJohnsonLaw.com. The Law and You is a community service and part of Corson & Johnson’s work to Make Communities Safer
