Lara Johnson Elected to Oregon Trial Lawyers Association Executive Committee
The Corson & Johnson Law Firm is proud to announce that partner Lara Johnson has been elected to serve on the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) Executive Committee.
OTLA is Oregon’s largest organization dedicated to protecting people, holding wrongdoers accountable, and promoting a fair and equitable justice system through advocacy and education. The association works to uphold and defend both the Oregon and U.S. constitutions, resist unjust laws, and ensure justice is accessible through open and fair courtrooms. OTLA also plays a vital role in strengthening the justice system through public education, supporting policies that protect individuals, and promoting the highest standards of ethical conduct in the legal profession.
The Executive Committee serves as a key leadership body within OTLA, guiding the organization between Board meetings and advising the Executive Director. The committee includes all current officers and one additional OTLA member, often a past President.
Lara has been an active and dedicated OTLA member throughout her career. Over the years, she has served in every officer role within the association, including as President, and continues to contribute her time and leadership to advancing OTLA’s mission.
Oregon is facing challenges to access to justice, attempts to immunize harm from irresponsible conduct by certain kinds of corporations, and the independence of judges and juries that is essential to the rule of law. Lara is looking forward to applying her decades of experience representing injured people to helping in this leadership position.
We congratulate Lara on this well-deserved honor and thank her for her ongoing commitment to protecting the rights of Oregonians and strengthening access to justice across our state.
